The Family
The Pizzi family built things for a living before they fed people — wrought iron, back in Liguria, for over a century. When they came to Indianapolis in the 1960s, that discipline came with them. Gino Pizzi opened Ambrosia in 1979. Today his daughter Anna, named after her own grandmother, runs it alongside her husband Dan. Different trade. Same hands doing the work

We want people to leave with a moment they'll want to relive, the kind that only comes from comfort and familiarity.
That starts with staff who stay long enough to become familiar faces, and management that works the floor beside them — host stand, expo, bar, bussing, whatever the room needs. Hospitality isn't handed down here. It's done, by everyone, every night.

Family Recipes
It's not just traditional cuisine, but true family recipes passes down from Nonna, to Gino, to Anna. Many of our favorite dishes, like the Lasagna, the Bosco Mare, the Linguini con Vongole, and many others were common in our home table before they were on our menu.
Truly Italian Wines
Not just a Carta de Vino
We have curated a selection of wines that are not only, of course, from Italy - but actual Italian favorites. Start your dinner with a Franciacorta, enjoy a Vermentino (a Ligurian staple, Gino's favorite), and pair your dinner with a great Barolo.
Ready for dessert? Why not finish with an amaro digestivo, or a nice Grappa? Just like Gino and Dan do.
